Yes. Every transaction runs through a trusted escrow service — Escrow.com, Afternic or Sedo. The escrow agent holds your funds and releases them only after the domain is verified in your account.

Most transfers complete within 24 to 72 hours of funds clearing. If both parties use the same registrar, a push transfer can be finished in minutes.
